ABOUT ALEXANDRA
Alexandra is a consultant and analyst, working mainly on the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean. She has a media background and has worked as a print and radio journalist, including seven years in the Middle East where she covered political, cultural and economic issues in the region as a reporter for the Los Angeles Times, among other publications. Alexandra has covered Lebanon, the conflict in Syria, and political and security developments in Iran extensively and has reported from most countries in the Middle East. She has also worked as a religious affairs reporter and producer at Swedish public radio.
Alexandra has also managed a range of media development and research projects about conflict, culture and society in the Middle East and North Africa. Initiatives include the holding of a series of panel debates on the conflict in Syria, developing a research paper on Lebanon´s arts and culture sector, a study on the state of civil society in 11 countries in the Middle East and North Africa, and a media sector development project in Cyprus.
Alexandra holds a Master´s degree in International Affairs from King´s College London and a Bachelors´s degree in International Relations from University of Southern California. Alexandra speaks English, Arabic and French aside from her native Swedish.
